Amanda 8.15.2012

I first met Amanda about a year ago but knew about her much longer than that.

About a year or two ago my boyfriend texted me and said that a family friend was at their house and brought a friend who was interested in photography.  He said that she went to school at UNC and was interested in the photo club so he got her email address for me to contact her.  Life got crazy and I lost this sticky note with her email address (sticky notes are so hard to keep track of sometimes!).  I felt terrible that I hadn't gotten any information to her.

At one of the first photo club meetings of the year we were introducing everyone and at some point I mentioned Scott's name and Amanda put two and two together and realized who I was! Much of a relief to me, she still made it to the photo club meeting, even though I neglected the sticky note with her information on it.

Since then I have gotten to know Amanda more and see how amazing she is.  No matter where life takes her she is always smiling with her head up! She cares about others more than herself and always sees the positive side of things.  I can only hope that in the next year I can learn some of that from her!

Here are a couple photos from our session!

Jessica 8.9.2012

How lucky am I to be able to see this gorgeous girl everyday?!

Jessica and I both work in the same building and get to see each other every day when I get back to work after lunch while she is working the front desk. I was talking to her the other day about some updating I did on my equipment and thought that there isn't a better way to test out some new equipment than to take pictures of a pretty lady!!

We did our shoot today after work and it was perfect! It was so great to be able to spend some time with Jessica outside of the office and get to know each other a little more.

Here are a couple of my favorites from tonight!  Enjoy!

Skate Park 8.6.2012

My first time at a skate park.

This is Brian and Ryan. They showed me their mad moves at the skatepark.  Unfortunately Brian was sick so he wasn't feeling too adventurous.  That was fine by me.  I discovered while I was at the skate park that I have traumatophobia (fear of injury).  I looked away every time I heard a skateboard scratch the ground in fears that I would see arms bent the wrong direction.

Luckily for me, there were not injuries (besides the little boy who scraped his knee).  I walked away without having to experience anything too disgusting!

Here are some of the shots I got during the day!

Kellsie 7.18.2012

Distance sucks.  It is so hard on any relationship, especially one with your best friend.

This is my best friend, Kellsie, and she is a rock star!  She is currently going to school in Laramie, Wyoming (land of the giant snow storms) to become a lawyer.  This past May I made the trip to Laramie to watch her watch across the stage and receive her undergraduate degree (that she completed in 3 years) and I couldn't be more proud of her.  She has worked so hard and gotten so far and I have no doubt in my mind that she will be graduating from law school in a few years and will become a successful lawyer.

So here is looking at the next best future lawyer in town!

Eddie 7.8.2012

Meet Eddie, my next door neighbor my freshman year of college.  Eddie was one of the first people I met as a freshman on the large UNC campus (it's bigger than my hometown!).  Since I didn't have a roommate at the beginning of the year I felt like I was one step behind everyone else, and being a shy girl from a small town I was too shy to introduce myself to anyone in my wing.  I met Eddie on the way to lunch on one of the first days in the dorm and he made me feel like I belonged in our dorm ( I was one of the few art majors in a world of music and theatre majors).  We hung out on a daily basis and any day we didn't see each other made us feel lost.

Now as we are starting our fourth year of college, we have seen each other once in the past several months.  Growing old is sad! Eddie has been busy with practices and concerts and I have been off taking pictures and working on business plans.

It was so great to be able to spend some time together and catch up with each other.  Eddie was such a great model (even though he didn't think so).

Thanks again Eddie for letting me take your pictures and we will definitely have to hang out more during my last year here at UNC!

Enjoy!

Erika 7.7.2012

Isn't Erika just so stinkin' beautiful?  Scott and I met up with her to do a photo shoot and she didn't let us down with great poses and cute clothes!

It had been way too long since we had seen Erika and since she was back in the neighborhood we decided to celebrate with an awesome photo shoot! We had a great time walking down the alleys trying to find new locations and even an abandoned chair for a prop!

Here are some of our shots from the day! Enjoy!
