Amanda | Greeley Portrait Photographer

I love having friends who I can say "It's supposed to snow tomorrow and the leaves are super awesome colors right now...who wants their pictures taken?!" and they jump on the opportunity immediately! One of the first times it snowed this year Amanda and I were both VERY excited to see some white stuff falling out of the sky. Unfortunately it didn't end up snowing during our shoot, but instead was VERY cold.

I lived in Northeastern Colorado for the first 18 years of my life before heading off to "the big city" to go to college. I spent most of the season of fall in school or practicing in a gymnasium and didn't really have the chance to truly enjoy fall until going to college. My campus has more trees on it than there are people in my hometown. Needless to say, the last few years I have really enjoyed fall time!

Because of the drought this year the trees didn't quite know when they were supposed to change colors. As sad as it was, as a photographer, I thought it sure did look awesome in photographs!

This has been my third shoot with Amanda in a little less than a year and she is always up for an adventure! Although we didn't get the snow we were hoping for, I was able to take a break from school and enjoy the beautiful colors!

Max + Jenise | Arvada Portrait Photographer

Fans, meet Max and Jenise!

I used to photograph weddings with Max and met Jenise while going to Scott's church.

Max and Jenise are newlyweds and even though I have been to over 50 weddings in the past 2 years, their wedding was one of first weddings I attended since high school. I have to admit that Scott and I probably looked pretty silly because the whole time we kept wondering what we had to do next. When all we had to do was sit back and relax!

Thanks Max and Jenise for being my awesome models!
Enjoy!

Matt + Mandy | Greeley Portrait Photographer

Matt and Mandy (also a photographer) were some of my models for my senior portfolio this semester. I have to admit that photographing other photographers can sometimes be intimidating!

Thank you Matt and Mandy for being such great models! You guys rocked it!

Time to catch up!

Oh my goodness has it been a long time since I have blogged! It has been a while, but I promise I have been doing great and wonderful things!

Last week I finished my second to last semester of my college career. For the past semester I have been taking 3, count them, three photography classes. The most photography classes I have taken in one semester up to this point is one. I had a great semester and was taking pictures constantly, which was awesome, but also took up a lot of my time. Hence the fact that I am blogging for the first time in two months!

For the past four months I have been spending countless hours in a dark room full of chemicals for my advanced black and white class. I have been working on a new website for my boudoir business, Simply Beautiful You, that I launched after Thanksgiving. I also spent a lot of time working with some awesome couples for my senior portfolio.

In order to graduate with my major you are required to submit and present a senior portfolio as well as a senior show. I passed both! YAY!!! It was a lot of work and very stressful but I am so glad to have it done and not have to worry about it during my final semester at UNC.

I will have MANY updates coming in the next few days so stay tuned!!!

The pictures below are the 10 photographs that I submitted for my senior portfolio. I wish I could show you all the printed version in the physical portfolio, but unfortunately I can't send that over the internet.
