Ashley + Kyle. Engaged!

On Saturday I had an engagement shoot in old town Fort Collins. I have to say that Old Town always makes me feel like I'm in Italy, not that I've ever been in Italy, but it's what I imagine Italy to look like!

Ashley and Kyle were an awesome couple and were willing to do anything that I asked them to. Anything from laying in the grass on a street corner to standing in the middle of the street as the cars zoomed by!

New look!

Friends, Family, and fans! It has been a busy week so I apologize for the delayed post. I finished up all my classes for the semester last week and moved out of my dorm and into my new house! I also had surgery on Tuesday morning so I've been preparing and recovering from that, so needless to say the last week has been a pretty hectic one for me!! But the good news is that I have also been preparing the new look for Images by Elizabeth! Head on over to my website and check out the new look and feel free to let me know what you think! I've been so excited to introduce the new design!!

On to the pictures!

Every time I would walk to my dorm at night on my way from the gym or library, I would look at the shadows the chairs make on the ground. I always told myself I'd go to my dorm and grab my camera and take a picture but would never do it because I was afraid I was going to get mugged! So on Friday night, my last night in the dorms, I made my boyfriend come with me to take this picture!

Futon on the Lawn!

Today I cam back to my dorm from running some errands and my roommate and her boyfriend were moving his futon out of the dorm. Once I got up to them, they were sitting on it, waiting for their friend to come and pick them up. I asked them how long they'd be sitting there and told them not to move until I came back down with my camera! I mean, how often do you see people sitting on futons in front of dorms?

Photo shoot with Genae!

I got a comment on my facebook fan page a couple days ago from Genae. She had seen the pictures I had taken of Rachael and loved the pink trees. She asked me when I was available and we were taking pictures the next day!!

Genae was so fun, outgoing, and willing to do whatever crazy things I asked her to do from rolling around in the grass to jumping up and down and dancing to laying on cold rocks!

Lights down the hall

I've been looking at these lights for the last two semesters and have been thinking about taking pictures of it but haven't gotten to it. I realized today that I only have 5 days left to take all these pictures of my dorm that I've been saving up! So here it is!

Catching up on the photos from the weekend!!

Today Scott and I went outside in his front yard to play around taking some pictures. He ended up showing me two different techniques, freelensing and reverse lens. Both of them are techniques where you remove your lens from your camera and just hold it up to it. We ended up spending an hour or more playing with the two different techniques, taking pictures of anything from the flowers on the trees to dandelions! Here are a few photos from our front yard adventures today!
